#Ponder1 – Oneself – Individuality

“Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” – Mark Twain

“The most courageous act is still to think for yourself. Aloud.” – Coco Chanel

“The things that make me different are the things that make me.” – A.A. Milne

“Why are trying so hard to fit in, when you’re born to stand out” – Oliver James

These are some of the greatest quotes by brilliant individuals. We all are born different and to be different. The power of individuality is the most important power than can be possessed. by a person. When you are an individual, you have different opinions of what you see and what you hear – also of what you learn.

I do not boast and though this may come across as if I am – I assure you that I am not boasting. I am proud to say that I do have individuality. It is a wonderful thing. Though people will not always agree with you, you stand out as a thinker. Maybe others will not think of you that way – they’ll think of you as stupid – but NO! You should know that you are not. Individuality will make you stand out amongst your classmates, your colleagues and the general public. Your seniors, be it your parents’ friends, your grandparents, other elders or your boss – they will be impressed and will always look out for your ideas and for YOU. They will enjoy chatting with you and will never push aside your inputs (that is unless your boss has a communist policy and doesn’t care at all about his staff). You can have role models but do not make icons your role models because good qualities should be picked up and not antics.

So fellow reader, Be YOU. Not someone else. Be YOU. Be an individual. Become someone others will look up to and not look down on. Be that chap who is a bright prospect. Be different. Be an individual.
