One to Go

I’m standing in line at the coffee shop,

I will need one to go.

I’m running late,

I need to be somewhere.

Maybe I should just go.

I watch the clock,

It’s made from mirror,

Which I think is rather queer,

But on some level it resonates true,

Ah! My turn is almost near.

I’m standing at the coffee shop,

Ordering love to go.

I’m running late,

I need to be somewhere,

Quickly now here you go.

No time for sugar sachets,

Drat! This stuff is bitter,

Well, I’m out the door.

Oh, how I wish I were fitter.
